Are people the same? Naturally, you know the answer to that question. No, everyone is different in his or her own way. Some agents may have more or less experience and knowledge about specific things than others. Some agents may be more seasoned.
They will market your property more aggressively and be better at negotiating a contract than other agents which could be to your advantage. A good agent will know how to prepare a purchase agreement and be able to spot a poorly prepared contract on your property. They will work with your best interest in mind. Technology has come into the real estate business more in the past couple of years. You need an agent who has the knowledge to sell your property and use the technology available to market your home. An agent who keeps up to date with technology would be a good choice. Many home purchasers are using the internet to find a home. When you choose an agent you should be comfortable with them. Being able to communicate with them is important. Your agent should listen to your needs and be understanding. Some agents may have more knowledge of some neighborhoods than other agents. The agent should be able to tell you how to prepare your property for the real estate market. Some agents are Realtors, which means they belong to the National Association of Realtors and follow a strict code of ethics. They promote their business in a professional manner. A good agent will be prepared when they come to list your property. They will analyze the recent comparable sales in the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) and bring this knowledge with them. They will also analyze any properties listed on the market for sale at the present time in order to price your property to sell quickly. The agent should measure your property; make a note of all details in order to list the property with accuracy. This agent will have the expertise to price your property at the best market price in order for the property to proceed to a quick sale. When you shop for an agent do your homework and make sure the agent has done theirs. So, next time your hear the phrase pick up the phone and call any agent or real estate office because real estate agents are all the same. We are not. We are individuals just like you.
